We are a free calculus learning site. We build step-by-step calculators for integrals, derivatives, and limits, and we write plain-English guides that explain the math behind every answer.
Why We Built This Site
Many students can follow a calculus example in class but get stuck at home. A calculator that only prints an answer does not help much. You need to see why the answer is right. That is the idea behind this site: every calculator shows its steps, names the rule it used, and checks its own answer.
What You Will Find Here
- Free calculators for antiderivatives, integrals, definite integrals, derivatives, limits, and more. See them all on the calculators page.
- Step-by-step solutions that show the power rule, u-substitution, integration by parts, the chain rule, L’Hôpital’s rule, and other methods.
- Calculus guides written in simple English, from what an antiderivative is to integration by parts.
Meet the Author
Prof. Adrian Cole · Mathematics Educator, Calculus & Integration Specialist
Adrian writes and reviews the calculators and guides on this site. His goal is to help students understand not only how to solve calculus problems, but why the methods work.
His areas of focus include antiderivatives and indefinite integrals, definite integrals and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, integration techniques such as substitution and integration by parts, derivatives, and the common mistakes students make along the way.
“An answer is more useful when you understand why it works. My goal is to make calculus problems less intimidating by breaking them into clear, manageable steps.” — Prof. Adrian Cole
How We Keep the Math Accurate
- Antiderivatives are checked by differentiating them.
- Definite and multiple integrals are compared with a numerical method.
- Limits are compared with a table of values.
- Every guide is reviewed before it is published, and corrected quickly when a reader finds an error.
